TurboVUi Demo Help with IP Connection

You have downloaded the demo TurboVUi Client software, but cannot connect to the demo TurboVUi IP Gateway in Cincinnati. To determine where the IP connection problem is, perform the following steps:

  1. Access a common public page on the Internet to determine if you have have connection to the Internet:
    • Click on the following link to open the Worldclock: www.timeanddate.com/worldclock
    • If the Worldclock indicates the correct time, go to Step 2.
    • If the Worldclock page does not display or is displayed with incorrect time, the Internet connection problem must be solved before proceeding.
  2. Ping the demo TurboVUi IP Gateway.
    • From the "Run..." command in the Windows Start menu, type "cmd"
      Then press the Enter key.
    • When the cmd window opens, type
      "ping 216.228.66.196"
      Then press the Enter key.
    • If a Reply was received to your Ping command, similar to the the display on the right, go to Step 3.
    • If the Ping "Request Timed Out", call CTI Products for assistance:
      513-595-5900.
  3. Access the Web Page on the demo
    TurboVUi IP Gateway:
    • Click on the following link to open the Web Page for the demo TurboVUi IP Gateway: 216.228.66.196
    • The Web Page for the demo TurboVUi IP Gateway should open, similar to the the display on the right.
    • If you are able to view this web page, go to Step 4
    • If the Web Page cannot be displayed, call CTI Products for assistance:
      513-595-5900.
  4. Telnet into the demo TurboVUi IP Gateway:
    • From the "Run..." command in the Windows Start menu, type "cmd"
      Then press the Enter key.
    • When the cmd window opens, type "telnet 216.228.66.196 48222"
      Then press the Enter key.
    • If a blank screen is returned, the Telnet connection succeeded. Try using the TurboVUi Client to connect once more.
    • If "Connect Failed" message is received, the firewall protecting your network must be configured to allow access to Port 48222.
